Thanksgiving generosity

Mrs. Infurnari and the Random Acts of Kindness team would like to extend a huge thank you to all the students who donated to the Thanksgiving Food Drive. What an outstanding display of charity and compassion to those in our community who are in need. Brother Terrance from the Good Shepherd was overwhelmed with the amount of food picked up from our school ---we filled the entire truck!

In the words of Jesus himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

This year the school raised 2, 707 food items. This is the highest ever raised. Congratulations to all who helped make our food drive a successful one.

Congratulations to the division grade winner who will celebrate with a pizza party:

Primary, Mrs. Grzicic’s grade 3 class with 145 items
Junior, Mr. DiBenedetto’s grade 6 class with 314 items
Intermediate, Mrs. Infurnari’s grade 8 class with 282 items.

Honourable mentions are offered to Mrs. Persuitti-Murillo, Mrs Langsford, and Mr. Cameron’s classes. Your excellent efforts will also be celebrated with a pizza party (date to be determined)!

Thank you to the grade 8 classes who showed great leadership and worked amazingly collecting, organizing, tallyin, and packing all the food items. It is so much appreciated.
