Attention Artists! The Wish Heart Childhood Cancer Fund

We are inviting the St. Mark community to create a work of art to go with the theme of “Spring, Hope and Happiness” for our courageous cancer fighters and their families. Students are asked to create these pieces of art using any medium they choose to bring joy and cheer to children fighting cancer at McMcaster. The art will be displayed in an online exhibition until June 15th and some will be displayed on the inpatient cancer ward.

Creating the artwork, fundraising and donations are completely optional. We ask that submissions be completed by Monday, May 31st. Registration for all of this is completely free. Please visit the website: www.hamiltonhealth.ca/springart

Here are the steps to participate:

1.Select JOIN A TEAM. Then “Join as a New Participant”
2. Search for the team "St. Mark Community" and click “JOIN”.
3. Set up your personal page. (You do not have to set a fundraising goal.) Fill out the registration information and permission. Click “Next Step”.
4. This will bring you to your personal page. Here you will upload your picture and replace the “Sun” picture with your artwork. Please email your picture with your first name only and age to info.whccf@gmail.com to be included in the gallery. Once you register an email with instructions will be sent to you if you need further information.

The Wish Heart Fund was created in honour of baby Jack Wishart, who lost his battle with leukemia when he was 13 months old. 100% of the donations will go directly to support the children and families fighting cancer at McMaster Children's Hospital. This charity is part of the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.

Covid has given us a taste of what isolation feels like, but children with cancer experience isolation on a regular basis. Please consider participating.
