Without using Google, how many Presidents of the United States are there?
Too easy? Okay, fine. Can you name them all? In order?
Aadhyan Pradeep Maddela can. He’s five. Did we mention that he can also do it in under 45 seconds?
The kindergarten student from St. Mark Catholic Elementary School is nothing short of amazing. Speeding through each name as if he was rhyming off the ABC’s you just know he’s going places. Actually, he already has.
Born in Telangana, India, Aadhyan was recently recognized in the Asia Book of Records as the fastest kid to recall all USA Presidents in exactly 44 seconds and 68 milliseconds.
If that’s not enough to make you say “wow,” he’s also in the India Book of Records for being able to identify all 195 country flags of the world.
He’s still trying for the Guinness Book of World Records, though.
At school, teacher Pamela Mastroianni says he’s doing Grade 3 level math and is well beyond his years for reading, too.
“He teaches the class,” says Mastroianni, who notes that she will give her students a simple question to solve but Aadhyan will expand upon it and add a new challenge.
Even for arts and crafts, Mastroianni will allow her students creative freedom with construction paper and Aadhyan will be at his desk recreating as many world flags as he can.
It’s an incredible gift, says Vice Principal Colleen Horzelenberg, who has observed him drawing and labeling flags in her class, as well.
Not on record, Aadhyan can also name all 66 books of the Bible, says Swathi Maddela, Aadhyan’s mom.
Currently, the fastest time to identify all national flags is four minutes and six seconds and held by a man named Adam Saeed in Manama, Bahrain.
At five, most kids are just learning where Canada is on a map. In a matter of seconds, Aadhyan can identify both Bahrain’s flag and spot on a map. It’s only a matter of time before he takes home the record from there, too.
